Hank Green is a prominent content creator and entrepreneur, widely recognized for his contributions to educational and science communication through social media.
In 2007, he co-founded the vlogbrothers YouTube channel with his brother, John Green. That same year, they initiated The Project for Awesome, a charity campaign that has raised over $10 million for various nonprofits.
In 2008, Hank launched DFTBA.com alongside Alan Lastufka, a company that supports creators in developing and selling their merchandise. He also established VidCon in 2010, which has grown into the largest event celebrating the online video community and was acquired by Viacom in 2018.
Hank and John also co-created educational YouTube channels, including SciShow and CrashCourse, under their media company, Complexly. Their content has reached nearly every high school in America, garnering over two billion views.
In 2013, Hank Green introduced Subbable, a crowdfunding platform later acquired by Patreon. He hosts several podcasts, including Dear Hank and John, Delete This, and SciShow Tangents, and continues to expand Complexly’s YouTube offerings, including Journey to the Microcosmos and Eons.
